Delectable Friends

This weekend my husband and I spent the weekend in Boone, NC with our college friends. We go way back with Mike and Gus being college roommates all 4 years. Gus was Mike's best man at his wedding and Mike was in our wedding. Mimi and I got to be good friends through the guys, and our children are close in age. The years have taken us far apart and close together, even living in the same city for a few years. We have settled into a routine of meeting once a year at Appalachian State University home coming game, spending 3 days and nights catching up on each other's lives. This is a great time and we hope it will continue for many years. We shop (the women), golf (the men), talk, share pictures of our families, talk some more, and of course enjoy some good tailgating and football. Here we are enjoying this year's homecoming parade. Aren't friends the greatest?! You can be yourself, laugh and cry together. Its great to have friends to grow older with - Mike and Mimi, here's to good times for many more years to come! Cheers!
